Sam planned a sweet surprise for his girlfriend, Amber- a sunset proposal on the riverfront in downtown Wilmington. He asked me to stay incognito until after he popped the question, which wasn't too difficult to do, seeing that there are plenty of tourists with cameras around their neck down there at sunset.

As I sat at the location that we previously discussed waiting for them to arrive, another photographer showed up with a girl that was getting prom pictures made, and posted up in literally the exact location my couple was supposed to arrive to in just moments. After a quick heart-racing mini panic attack, I collected myself and politely explained the situation before he could get his flashes set up- and voila! They kindly stepped aside and just one minute later, I saw Sam and his soon-to-be-fiance walk up to our spot. Disaster averted, moment captured, and many sweet memories made for this sweet couple as they embark on this new phase of their life.
